About Toronto Calcutta Association (Calcutta Chapter)
The Toronto Calcutta Association (Calcutta Chapter) starts its journey in the year of 1988. TCA was established by late Shovana Bhadury, Dr. Amitava Chakroborty & Dr. Madhuchhanda Chakroborty. Even after completion of the glorious 36 years, the sacred lamp is still giving us the light which is our strength to look forward. TCA has registration under section 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Our registration number is S/64799 and registered address is 2/45 Naktala, 700047, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. We are FCRA certified, certificate no- 147120554 .
TCA is working for people right from its birth time. In the area of health care the growth of TCA is remarkable, as we have 7 medical clinics. And in the genre of education we have started 2 schools in kolkata and its surrounding areas.

We distribute spectacles to the needy ones after eye check-up at eye camps which we held regularly. We also organise health camps and awareness seminars in the rural areas for medical issues.
To provide financial assistance to women and adolescent girls of low-socio economic class Toronto Calcutta Association starts training centres. This is our project named Uttaran.
National Rural Health Mission of Government of India sets a goal that “Every citizen has its right to health services when and where needed’. Keeping this in mind our organisation is toiling hard. For this reason and constant encouragement, we are thankful to Toronto Calcutta foundation, Toronto Canada for helping us with funds for running our projects. We are also thankful to our volunteers, staffs and well-wishers.
Our goal is to provide the needy and underprivileged background people a sustainable development and to establish them in life. Our biggest achievements are setting up clinics in and around Naktala and Raghabpur and running them successfully for years. Many people are dependent on those clinics and visits when they need.
Our Mission
Toronto Calcutta Association (Calcutta Chapter) has the motto of 1. taking care of children and giving them a quality life with basic education. 2. helping common people especially poor and senior citizens with their related health issues. 3. undertaking the women who are underprivileged and from the backward background (by providing legal aid and training, seminars annually and monthly).
Our Objectives
